On
the east side of San Juan Island is the town of Friday Harbor, also the San Juan
County Seat. Friday Harbor, a historic seaport, rises from the ferry landing and
public marina where it is an easy stroll to the town's docks, parks,
restaurants, shops, galleries, lodging facilities and business district.
On the north end of San Juan Island is another port of entry known as Roche
Harbor Village. It is listed on the National Register of Historical Sites and is
approximately ten miles from Friday Harbor. Roche Harbor has beautiful
Victorian gardens, an airstrip, marina, lodging, grocery store, restaurants,
sculpture park, shopping, water activities and local artists booths. The
islands are reached by air or sea, and most commonly by the Washington State
Ferries out of Anacortes where Pacific Crest Inspections is located. The ferries
serve Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, Orcas, Lopez and Shaw Islands. Waldron,
Stuart, Blakely and Decatur Islands also have significant populations although
they are only accessible by smaller boats, or by air.
Pacific Crest Inspections understands the unique needs challenges of owning a home on an island. We have experience with alternative energy systems, well and septic systems. We perform a visual home inspection of the structure and its systems, as well as an operational check of the various mechanical systems. We evaluate their present condition and life expectancy. Our home inspections often reveal defects that even the seller is not aware of. We provide reports in a easy to read narrative style support with digital pictures. Our philosophy is to provide timely, accurate home inspections while educating the customer about the status and operation of their home. We provide island inspections to Lopez, Shaw, Orcas and San Juan Islands.
